A Bargain:
As a self-proclaimed "wal-mart girl", I rarely go to other grocery stores. Wal-mart, of course, is the cheapest. When I make a run for one or 2 things, however, I sometimes run to Winn-Dixie as its easier to get in and out of. I've noticed lately that they have alot of sales going on, especially buy one get one free stuff. And every time I go, I get a $10 off a $50 purchase, which I never use. This week, however, I decided I'd try out Winn-Dixie to see if I could save some money. Boy did I ever!!! I saved almost $32!!!
Now I'm assuming its the declining economy that has Winn-Dixie knocking their prices so low. But that benefits me, and them, since they have a new shopper!! So if you have a Winn-Dixie near you, go save some money! (you do have to have a winn-dixie card, but that's super easy).
A Straw:
I've been trying to get Caedmon to drink out of a straw for a while now. When I put one to his mouth, he bites it and looks at me like "this doesn't work". So yesterday I had a smoothie and decided to see if he could suck it up the straw. Took about 2 seconds flat for him to figure that out! He was gulping my smoothie! Now not only can he drink from a straw, but I have a way to get some dairy in him. The kid spits out milk and cheese and won't even open his mouth for yogurt. He will eat a grilled cheese but that's about it. So this morning I made him a smoothie with yogurt, strawberries, ice and water and he drank a decent amount! Next purchase: sippy with a straw!
Other Random Tidbits:
Still no "mama" but he can say "ow ow ow" like one of his toys says.
He didn't get up for the day til 8:30 today, which is super late for him. No complaints from me!
I'm still nursing him at bedtime. After his bath, he goes and grabs the boppy and drags it to me. Then starts jumping and squealing when I put it in my lap!
I think that's all the boring information I have for now!! Nothing too exciting at the Harrison Household lately!! Just loving everyday with our little man!
