today caedmon looked at a freckle on my hand and asked "mommy you dirty?"

Tonight he slipped on some books and started crying so I scooped him up for some mommy love. After snuggling my shoulder for a few moments, he pulled back and said "mommy I crashed" I kissed him on the cheek and told him I wanted to kiss the other cheek and he said "how about kiss other hiney"
Oh how I love having a toddler.

Sometimes I hear a song and it just  pulls on my heart strings.  This is one of those songs.  I think it says perfectly what it means to find a relationship with the King of Kings.  It's not about religion or rules.  Its about falling passionately in love with an awesome God.  When you fall in love, you do everything you can to please that person, to bring a smile to their face, to make them feel special.  You find yourself changing for the better whether you try to or not.  You can't get them off your mind and everything makes you think about them.

That's exactly how it should be with our Creator.  You can tell someone about him all day, or you can hear about him all day.  But when you come close enough to see a glimpse of His love, his splendor, you can't help but fall head over heels in love!

life with a toddler

caedmon:  "hey mommy, i like timeout"

caedmon:  "mommy, amba, amba, where's chase?"

caedmon:  "do you see my cup anywhere?"

caedmon was on chase's shoulders the other night and i said "hey big giant!" (big giant is on mickey mouse) and his reply? "hey goofy"

caedmon is learning his letters and for some reason has an affinity for the letter "w".  he looks for it everytime he sees letters and can spot it in seconds.  he looks at "m" upside down if he can't find a "w".

 i love that toddler belly and chunky legs.  i love watching his face when he's thinking hard about his next word. toddlers are so cute.
