caedmon: " c'mon mom. gotta hurry. time to go night night."
before caedmon turned 2, we rarely had to discipline him. he had gone in time-out about 3 times and that was about it. then he turned 2. whole different story. he found my remote control and enjoys pressing the buttons. so we've had to reimplement time-out. it is working pretty well-i think it helps him chill out. he sits quietly until i tell him he's all done then he says sorry and gives me a hug. it's actually quite cute. yesterday he tells me "mama i need go time-out little while". and today he smacked at me (playfully, but not ok), and i said "caedmon, you need to go sit down and look at the wall. you need to go in time-out because you hit mommy" and the boy just walks over sits down and looks at the wall. who does that?! i just love his little personality, even when he's pressing my buttons!

paint that pottery
my mom's sweet friends planned her a surprise party at "paint that pottery" last night. we had a BLAST and went WAY over the 2 hour time limit. the sweet girl stayed there with us til after 10 last night. i'm sure she was exhausted at school today!

Snow in Mobile!!

apparently for the first time in like 14 years, mobile got snow! caedmon was pretty indifferent to it and asked instead to go inside and watch mickey mouse. snow is one of chase's favorite things and i love seeing my hubby so excited! when caedmon went to georgia with my mom, it snowed several inches, so he just wasn't as impressed with the big snowflakes as his parents were. we also went to see winter jam last night. it was a great group of christian bands and i finally got to see third day in concert. i just love being with so many fellow sons and daughters worshipping our KING!
tonight we went with the inlaws to a valentine's dinner at their church. we ate yummy food and had a blast dancing. we ended up leaving early to go get caedmon from my parents house. apparently everytime pops asked him if he was ready to go to bed, he would cry crocodile tears and ask for us. sweet boy spent the night out last night, came straight home to nap, then headed out again. he just wanted to be home!
