Weekend with the Workmons!

our favorite georgia girls came to hang out with us for a few days!!   life is different with all that pink!  caedmon did very well sharing his toys and his space.  he loved hugging on little lucy and would belly laugh at kate.

  funny story (momma c, hope you don't mind!):  at the beginning of bathtime, caedmon was standing up on kate's right side.  she was sitting down, putting her at eye level with his boy parts.  she so innocently looked over at him and said "caedmon, i like your bottom"

 she only sees girl parts around her house, so his is different looking!!

 back in the summer during a bathtime, she told him "caedmon, your bottom is sticking out!"  

 oh to be in the mind of a 3 year old!

thursday morning we decided to take them out to the park to get some pictures!!

another funny kate story:  on thursday night, we met chase and pops at lamberts in foley.  after dinner, we sent caedmon and kate home with chase so we could hit up the outlets for a little retail therapy.  (where i got caedmon 5 shirts and 5 pair of pants for $40 at the GAP outlet!) when chase was putting kate to bed, he asked her if she wanted him to read to her.  

her response? 

 "i don't want you to read to me.  i don't want you to lay with me.  i don't want you to hug me and i don't want you to kiss me.  this is such a sad time!"

we were sad to say goodbye this morning!!  well, i was sad to see them go.  pretty sure caedmon was ready to have his space back!  he went in to meltdown mode this morning and insisted on going bye bye.  at least he wasn't asking the girls to go bye bye!! after his dada took him for a ride, he was fine and enjoyed his last few minutes with his girls!! 

can't wait to get back up to see our georgia girls in march!!  getting to be a mama with one of my nearest and dearest...well...there's nothing like it!

a smile!!!  this funny kid dodges the camera, and that's exactly what he was doing when I caught this!  he was running circles around me while I sat in the driveway trying to snap pictures. he got tickled and stopped running and let me snap this toothy grin.  

Seeing Double

caedmon loves to sit on the counter and "bush teef", especially in mama's bathroom.  I grabbed my camera today and got some pictures of my 2 caedmons.

Caedmonese

It's funny how moms can hear their own toddlers so clearly (most of the time), and to anyone else it sounds like a different language.  I often say that caedmon speaks caedmonese.  I know he won't always speak this cute dialect, so I want to keep track of some of the things he says! Some things look a whole lot clearer typed out.

what doonun?=  what are you doing?

wha-y-at?= what is that?

you hear dat?= Do you hear that?  

bush teef= brush teeth

bakky ball= basketball

bunny yabba= bunny rabbit

don do dat an-mo= don't do that anymore

I know there are morebut that's all I can think of!  I'll add more as I remember or as he says new, fun things in "caedmonese!"

Tori and I took Alexia out today so I could practice with my camera.  Alexia (aka "tia" around our house) was a great sport and we had a lot of fun! Here are some of  my favorites. WARNING: tons of pictures ahead! (and not one of Caedmon!)

Playing with Friends

Today was finally warm enough to go outside and enjoy the swingset.  Braydon and Eva came over and we had a great time.  I got to snap lots of cute pictures of the 3 cutie pies.  I played around with the editing of some!  I don't have it down yet, but its fun to play!

Girls Christmas Party!

I realize I am posting way out of order!!  I'm just way behind and posting what I want when I want...it's my blog!!

We had a girls christmas party December 15 at my house.  We played dirty santa and had a lot of fun.  I got a super cute blanket and house shoes.  We also stuffed ourselves with taco soup, brownies, and cake!  Can't wait til next year (or this year by now).

Naked Baby!!!

Caedmon woke up this morning with the worst diaper rash of his 2 years.  So we let him have some naked time tonight!  He peed on the floor and told me "Mama I pooped. Need clean up mess."
