What a day!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today was probably one of the craziest days of my life.
At 7:07 a.m. this morning, Chase woke me up asking "Where is my car?"  I'm thinking, seriously you don't remember?  I tell him it's by the mailbox where you parked it.  To which he responds, "No it's not. And I have my keys."  So I jump up (wearing only an XL t-shirt and undies), run outside with Chase, and see for myself that his truck is, in fact, not where he left it.  After standing there dumbfounded for a few minutes, Chase called his dad and my stepdad to see if by some random chance, one of them knows where it is.  When neither of them did, he decided it was time to call the police (and I decided I better go put some shorts on!)
So an officer comes, Chase files a report, and then heads to work in my car.  Chase had left his laptop in the car for the first time (which is important later in the story.)
We all continue about our day like normal.  Courtney and I loaded the kiddos in the van and headed to the pool for some fun in the sun.  We splashed around, then had a picnic and the little ones chowed down on some watermelon.
While Chase was at work, he realized that he had downloaded our bank account info into his quickbooks Monday, so therefore all that was in the car.  So after he came home from work around 3, he headed to the bank to close all accounts and open new ones.  Just as he finished up with that, he got a call from the police station that he needed to come down there.  When he got there, they tell him that they found a bunch of gps systems, cd players, dvd players and other electronics.  Apparently a gang that hangs around a local high school decided to go on a spree breaking in cars. And they decided to steal Chase's truck instead of just taking the laptop.  So Chase had to identify his laptop and also his radar detector was there.  They had a tip on the truck but when they went to check it out it was not there.  He came home with his laptop around 5 and gets another call at 5:45 that they found his truck.  We jumped in the car (leaving Courtney with all 3 kids, in the middle of dinner.  THANKS COURT!), and head to the apartment complex, not 8 minutes from our house, where they found it.  We got there and there are 2 detective cars and a police car and they are dusting for prints and everything.  It was crazy!
So less than 12 hours after reporting his car stolen, he got it back safe and sound!!  Our carseat and diaper bag where still in there, untouched.  My favorite denim jacket had been in there, so I was excited to get that back!!
Apparently the above mentioned gang were caught in the act early this morning robbing something and 4 guys were arrested.  After multiple reports of break-ins and Chase's stolen truck,  they were heavily interrogated, first giving up the location of the electronics and finally the location of the truck.
It all seems like we just watched an episode of Law & Order or something!

Not one time today did either of us get angry or mad or cry or stress out about any of this.  We know we serve a mighty God and we will not be stolen from, spiritually, emotionally or physically!  We have our truck back and the thieves who took it are in jail.  Courtney and I put it best tonight when I said "This is why you don't mess with sons (and daughters!) of the Most High God" and she said "Yep, because we ALWAYS win."

*if there are any grammatical errors, it's late and I'm not proofreading!!  I'm going to eat cookie/cool whip sandwiches!
