My 2 year old!

I can't believe my baby is TWO!  It's been an amazing, exhausting, challenging, wonderful, wouldn't-have-it-any-other-way 2 years!

So, Caedmon, what are you up to these days?

You weigh 32 pounds 4 ounces and wear a size 6 diaper.  You are moving into size 2t clothes, but can still fit 18-24 months in some.  You wear a 7.5-8 in shoes.

You love to watch TV.  Your favorite shows are:
  • MICKEY MOUSE CLUBHOUSE (by far your most favorite)
  • Barney (though not as much as you used to)
  • Veggie Tales (you love to sing "OH LITTLE JOE")
  • Hermie (especially at Lollie and Pops house!)
You like to eat, but only what YOU want to eat.  Your favorites are:
  • hot dogs
  • any fruit (kiwi, pineapple, grapes, strawberries are some of your favorites)
  • chips
  • cheese
  • french fries
  • fruitabu fruit chews
  • cheez-its
  • pizza
  • sweet potato fries

You also LOVE to sing songs and some on your current songlist are:
  • Here Comes the Sun (the beatles)
  • You are my Sunshine (my Caedmon, my mama, my dada....)
  • The Hot Dog song (Mickey Mouse Clubhouse)
  • When I think about the Lord (shane & shane)
You sleep with Monk Monk (a stuffed monkey) and Mickey Mouse.  It helps us a lot now with nap and bedtime because we can say "well, Mickey Mouse and Monk Monk are night night so it's time for Caedmon to go!"  You go to bed around 9, but sometimes you talk and sing for up to 2 hours in your crib.  You usually wake up b/w 7:30 and 8 and nap from about 1-4or 5.  I enjoy nap time, especially since you took such short naps for SO long!

You love going to Mamaws house and drinking Mamaw's juice (a splash of white grape juice with your water!  a treat you don't get at home!).

You are such a joy and ALL BOY!  You like to tackle and jump, run and ride around on your Mater, play blocks and slide down your little slide.

You don't have much interest in the potty.  You'll sit on it for us, but that's about it.  I have a feeling you'll be the kid that decides you are ready to be a big boy and never look back.  That's how you were with sleeping in your crib, swaddling, nursing...so I'm hoping you stick with that pattern!

My Caedmon,  I love you so much and am so thankful for you .  The Lord has blessed us so much with you in our lives.  I love watching you dance and worship in church.  I love seeing you interact with other children (even if learning to share is a bit of a challenge).  You have such a sweet, sweet spirit and everyone can see it.  You are a hugger and I love when you run up to me out of nowhere just for a quick hug and then you are off again to do your own thing!  You are very independent and entertain yourself all day.  I'm so excited to see what this next year has in store for us Caedmonkey!
