So he definitely leaves out two food groups for the most part! But I'm not worried about it...all I can do is offer. I read one time to never pick a food battle with a toddler because you will always lose. So true! He chooses to humor me every once in a while and eat a green bean. I feel successful if he does it once a month!
He weighs just under 29 pounds (big boy!) and is about average for height. We haven't been to the doctor since 13 months, so I redneck weighed him on the scale at home. I'm thinking about taking him this month just for accurate measurements! We have delayed vaccinations thus far so I don't take him to every well-baby appointment. We've been very blessed with his health and have only had to go one time for a sick-baby appointment when he was 8 months old! He's currently cutting his 2 year molars, so that is loads of fun!! It hasn't interfered with his sleep so far, so we are EXTREMELY thankful for that!
Speaking of sleep, that's a new challenge for us. He was so good at falling asleep on his own up until about a month ago. Now he falls asleep easy with us rocking him, but wakes up AS SOON as we put him down. I feel like we are starting back over! But this too shall pass!! And I definitely cherish the sweet moments like last night, when I just sat beside his crib and he held my hand til he fell back asleep. We would just bring him to our bed on nights he doesn't want to be alone, but he thinks our bed is playtime, so that's not an option!
He's in size 18-24 month clothes, 6.5 wide shoe, and size 5 diapers.
He's also asserting his independence BIG TIME. He definitely knows what he wants and doesn't want!
Whew, that was long-winded. I just wanted to be sure to get all of this down so we can look back on it one day!!!
