Snow in Mobile!!

apparently for the first time in like 14 years, mobile got snow!  caedmon was pretty indifferent to it and asked instead to go inside and watch mickey mouse.  snow is one of chase's  favorite things and i love seeing my hubby so excited!  when caedmon went to georgia with my mom, it snowed several inches, so he just wasn't as impressed with the big snowflakes as his parents were.  

we also went to see winter jam last night.  it was a great group of christian bands and i finally got to see third day in concert.  i just love being with so many fellow sons and daughters worshipping our KING!  

tonight we went with the inlaws to a valentine's dinner at their church.  we ate yummy food and had a blast dancing.  we ended up leaving early to go get caedmon from my parents house.  apparently everytime pops asked him if he was ready to go to bed, he would cry crocodile tears and ask for us.  sweet boy spent the night out last night, came straight home to nap, then headed out again.  he just wanted to be home!

Weekend with the Workmons!

our favorite georgia girls came to hang out with us for a few days!!   life is different with all that pink!  caedmon did very well sharing his toys and his space.  he loved hugging on little lucy and would belly laugh at kate.

  funny story (momma c, hope you don't mind!):  at the beginning of bathtime, caedmon was standing up on kate's right side.  she was sitting down, putting her at eye level with his boy parts.  she so innocently looked over at him and said "caedmon, i like your bottom"

 she only sees girl parts around her house, so his is different looking!!

 back in the summer during a bathtime, she told him "caedmon, your bottom is sticking out!"  

 oh to be in the mind of a 3 year old!

thursday morning we decided to take them out to the park to get some pictures!!

another funny kate story:  on thursday night, we met chase and pops at lamberts in foley.  after dinner, we sent caedmon and kate home with chase so we could hit up the outlets for a little retail therapy.  (where i got caedmon 5 shirts and 5 pair of pants for $40 at the GAP outlet!) when chase was putting kate to bed, he asked her if she wanted him to read to her.  

her response? 

 "i don't want you to read to me.  i don't want you to lay with me.  i don't want you to hug me and i don't want you to kiss me.  this is such a sad time!"

we were sad to say goodbye this morning!!  well, i was sad to see them go.  pretty sure caedmon was ready to have his space back!  he went in to meltdown mode this morning and insisted on going bye bye.  at least he wasn't asking the girls to go bye bye!! after his dada took him for a ride, he was fine and enjoyed his last few minutes with his girls!! 

can't wait to get back up to see our georgia girls in march!!  getting to be a mama with one of my nearest and dearest...well...there's nothing like it!

I got one!!

a smile!!!  this funny kid dodges the camera, and that's exactly what he was doing when I caught this!  he was running circles around me while I sat in the driveway trying to snap pictures. he got tickled and stopped running and let me snap this toothy grin.
