Fun in the Sun

We had a BLAST at the beach. Caedmon absolutely loved the waves and sand. He couldn't get enough. It was a little too cold for this girl, so daddy spent a lot of time in the water!
We learned the hard way that Caedmon is still sensitive to caffeine. Back when he was about 5 weeks old, Chase and I went out for a quick dinner alone to Outback and I had 2 glasses of sweet tea. Came home, nursed Caedmon, planned on going to bed...only he was up til 4 a.m. wide awake. Happened again 2 days later and I finally made the connection that he was overstimulated by the caffeine. So we switched to decaf and never had another problem. Until Friday. His aunt B let him gulp on her sweet tea from Lamberts and the kid was wired til 11! My kid is usually asleep no later than 8, but usually closer to 7! It was not fun at all and definitely solidified by water only rule (he does get the occasional cup of juice at his mamaws and his daddy has been rumored to give him a sip of Diet Coke before).
I got in some shopping on our way in to town. They dropped me off at the outlets, went and checked in, then came back for me. We ate dinner at Lamberts, which is always good. Who doesn't love a throwed roll?
Saturday morning we were down at the beach by 8:30. My how times have changed. I used to not see the beach til 10 at the earliest! We went to my favorite, Peppers, for lunch, then headed back for a much needed nap. After Caedmon and I woke up from our nap, we headed down for a little more beach time. We spent the evening at the Wharf then headed home. Sunday we woke up to cloudy, windy day. We went down for a little bit, then decided to pack up and head back northwest.
It was a wonderful, relaxing weekend.

The Harrisons are heading to Gulf Shores for the weekend. We are ready for some fun in the sun, some good food at Lamberts, and some shopping at the outlets (ok I'm the only one excited about that!)

16 months!!!

Hey guys! Caedmon here again. Can you believe I am 16 months?!?! I can't. I'm having so much fun figuring this big world out.
Words I say right now:

All Gone (ah-goh)

Pops (poh)
I can make the "l" sound for lollie, but I'm stubborn and I won't do it often. Just like I won't say mama. I call her dada instead.

snack (na)

I love showing my belly button if you ask me where it is. Then I cover it up and say "all gone". I also like finding other people's belly buttons. I sign "more" really well and I'll sign it when I want a snack.

Foods I like:
strawberries
waffles
oatmeal
hotdogs
graham crackers
cheerios
green peas
grapes
FRENCH FRIES

I like other foods too, but they are hit or miss. I eat what I want, not what anyone else thinks I should eat. I know what I want and I'll let you know!

I love to give hugs and kisses. I run up to mama throughout the day and hug on her and plant a big wet one on her.
My favorite time of day is still when daddy gets home. I sure do miss that guy during the day and will go to the window and call for him.
In fact I think I'll go look for him now....

Bad Blogger

I'm still here, just super busy! I haven't had time to upload photos, and really, who wants to read what I write if there are no pictures of the blue-eyed caedmonster?!?! I would upload them now, but my memory card adapter (stupid sony memory cards) is in the garage in a box and I am boycotting boxes at the moment.
We are loving our new house! Different issues keep coming up, but I suppose that's expected. Our hot water heater stopped working our first night here, so it was goodbye gas water heater, hello free electric water heater! Today we realized our dishwasher is missing the "swing arm" which apparently makes the difference in clean dishes and dirty dishes. So we are debating replacing the swing arm or getting a new dishwasher. Until we decide, I'm thankful dishes aren't my thing, b/c who wants to hand wash the dishes?! Glad my husband hasn't complained...too much.
Caedmon is all over the place. He'll be 16 months friday and I plan to do a good update on him then!
