Old and New!

The last weekend of September, one of my newest friends, Becky, and I drove up to see one of my oldest friends, Courtney.  We got there in time to check out the Matilda Jane trunk show Courtney was hosting and I bought a super cute dress.  After the trunk show we headed out to a late Mexican dinner.  Saturday Becky and I slept in (that term is all relative now.  No longer does it mean noon), then got ready and headed to lunch with Courtney and her mom.  After lunch we went to "the classy flea", an antique flea market.  I found lots of fun loot and Becky got a cute little side table!  Saturday night we had dinner at home then headed to Wal-mart to pick up some brownie mix.  We ended up eating the brownies straight out of the pan! YUMMY!  Sunday we went to church, lunch (chicken and waffles, anyone?), and then headed back south to the most humid place in America.

Thanks for having us Court!  We had a blast!

My Birthday week!

My birthday week started out with Chase taking me to Dauphin Island for the weekend.  It was so relaxing and perfect! This is the only picture we took!

Next on the list was a joint birthday part with my girl Jessica.  Our birthdays are 7 days apart so we decided to party together this year.  We had a yummy cake made by our friend Hilary and yummy fiesta soup!

On my actual birthday (August 17), we headed to Texas Roadhouse with some of my family!

We finished up the Birthday week with dinner with family dinners.  I don't have a picture of the Harrison family dinner!

Attempting to Catch Up!

I'm way behind in blogging!!  I haven't even posted about my birthday week and that was in August!!  So I'm beginning the catch-up process!!

everything is going great.  Caedmon says 5-10 new words a day.  Its so fun to see him get more and more interactive!  We are looking forward to some cool weather here to get out and enjoy!

21 months!!

happy 21 months sweet caedmon!!

I can't believe how fast you are growing up!  You've learned to say "Yeah!", so now we can get affirmative answers instead of "no" to everything!  You love guitars and drums and your favorite song is "Mama Mia".  You say "I love you more" when someone says I love you and you give kisses freely.  

You love to go "byebye" and watch "barbar" and "tales" (barney and veggietales).  You play golf with daddy on the wii and like to drive any steering wheel you can get your hands on.  You still cry right when we put you down for nap or bed, but usually for about 30 seconds.  You sleep 11-12 hours at night and take 2-4 hour naps.  I used to dream of you sleeping like this!

You love to eat hot dogs and french fries.  Usually I can get you to eat sweet potato if I cut it up and bake it and call it french fries.  You won't touch any other vegetable.  You LOVE watermelon, strawberries and grapes.  You are eating bananas this week, but you get tired of those quickly.  You like most beans, especially black beans.  You won't touch milk or yogurt, but you usually will eat cheese.  Your water has to have ice in it and when it melts you ask for "more more ice".

You are such a joy to have around, little man!  We love reading curious george books with you and coloring in your coloring books.  You are growing way too fast and make every day so fun.

Hello, Al Big!

I don't have long to post, but I wanted to share a cute Caedmon-ism.  

We've been reading Caedmon "Hello, Big Al" about University of Alabama's mascot.  Only instead of saying "hello big al"  caedmon says "Hello AL BIG".  It's too cute and so much cuter to hear than read!!
